Play Well Service Lead

We are looking for a team leader to comprehensively manage an inclusive TERMTIME afterschool play service (aimed at Primary School age children with SEND and their siblings). As well as the administration duties associated with this role, the postholder will support a team to work creatively with self-motivation, collaboration and commitment to offer development opportunities to children with disabilities and additional needs (including Autism) experiencing barriers to participation.

Salary:  £30,186 pro rata (£15.48 per hour).  Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks pro rata.

This role is fixed term for 4 years, with a possibility for extension. It is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

Our recruitment process has two parts:

Inclusive Playworkers

We are looking for Inclusive playworkers for our services. This involves being part of a team to work creatively with self-motivation, collaboration and commitment to offer development opportunities to children experiencing barriers to participation.

Playwork is a particular approach to working with children and young people that places their right to play in self-determined ways at the centre of all policies and day to day service operations. When children and young people play there may be no obvious outcomes, but the process of playing will have generated rich experiences and encounters that provide the underpinnings for all memorable learning.

Salary £22,425 – £28,975 pro rata per annum. £11.50 to £14.85 per hour. Salary Scale in line experience and qualifications (training provided).

Annual leave: 5.6 weeks pro rata. Hours of work: as per specific services weekends holidays or terms times.
