Parks for Play is based at the Coronation Road Play Centre in Selly Oak. We’ve got heaps of space for indoor and outdoor events, meetings and parties and when we are not running our inclusive play sessions we want to share it.

By choosing to hire Coronation Road Play Centre you will be supporting our charity to provide inclusive play services for children and young people with disabilities and additional needs.

Usual availability

At weekends, Coronation Road Play Centre is usually available to hire on Sundays and on Saturdays during the school holidays.

Children and Youth Party Packages

We’ve got the best of party spaces! A private and enclosed green space for games and letting off energy, a hall (capacity 50) perfect for making, dancing and chilling, and a sensory room designed for relaxing. We love to see children be children and young people enjoy playful time with their peers! Our spaces are designed for sensory exploration and we don’t mind a bit of mess. 

You can hire our space to curate the party you want for your child or young person, or hire us to lead the fun, games and activities. Each party package comes with two inclusive play practitioners. 

First, private hire our Play Centre and enclosed garden £200.

  • 3hr private hire (includes set up and saying goodbye time)
  • Exclusive use of hall, sensory room, and large enclosed green space
  • Green space includes; grassy area, picnic benches, sand pit, play caravan, ball court
  • Use of play resources – tennis table, disco lights, sound system (Alexa DJ), soft play, toys, bikes
  • A member of our staff team with First Aid Training will be on site throughout your party.

Optional Extras:

  • Large trays full of ‘sensory fun’ (e.g. slimy spaghetti, playdough) £20 each 
  • Additional party time / set up time (per hour) £35
  • Decorations; balloons, banners, party hats etc. £30
  • Use of Kitchen £30 or BBQ
  • Firepit / sparklers £50

Children’s Party Packages (suggested ages 4-12)

Want us to lead your party? Add on one of these party packages. 

For parties with a majority of children with SEND we will provide an extra inclusive play practitioner for no additional cost (per 10 guests).

Basic Party Package (per child) Hire price + £10/head 

Suggested age 4- 12

  • We provide 2 play workers to lead games and activities
  • Soft drinks – squash/water
  • Minimum of 10 children per booking

UPGRADE TO…

Sensory Party Package (per child) Hire price + £16/head

Suggested age 4- 12

Includes all of the basic party package offer, plus

  • Slime making & slime play (taste safe)
  • Bubble wands & foam
  • LED balloons and sensory lights
  • Minimum of 10 children per booking

OR UPGRADE TO…

Crafty Party Package (per child) Hire price + £16/head

Suggested age 4- 12

Includes all of the basic party package offer, plus

  • Choice of a make and take activity; tote bag, T-shirt, bracelet, mini canvas
  • Junk modelling, wall & face painting, chalk art
  • GIANT canvas paint splatter
  • Minimum of 10 children per booking

OR UPGRADE TO…

Battle Party Package (per child) Hire price + £16/head

Suggested age 4- 12

Includes all of the basic party package offer, plus

  • Nerf games (26 players)
  • Choice of water balloons or slime (taste safe)
  • Minimum of 10 children per booking
